Colour Label Printers (CLP) is a premier supplier of Lithographic, Flexographic, and Digital Print solutions across South Africa. During my tenure, I played a pivotal role in positioning CLP as the dominant supplier of printed labels, garments, and related products within South Africa’s retail clothing and bedding sectors, driving substantial growth across key business areas.
I spearheaded and executed strategic business expansion initiatives that led to a significant increase in staff, production capacity, and revenue generation. My leadership was central to the company's successful transition from a local market leader to a recognized player on the African continent. Notably, I led the expansion into cross-continental supply of printed food packaging for major multinational retail partners.
In my role, I took a hands-on approach, overseeing production processes to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency. I also worked alongside the sales team to guide initiatives aimed at supporting CLP’s growth and ensuring continued success in a competitive market.
Additionally, I played a part in developing international supply chains, securing exclusive access to polyester satin products from manufacturers in China, which provided CLP with a significant competitive advantage.

I had the pleasure of being hired as a Ghost Writer for a publication specifically aimed at promoting tourism for the 2010 Fifa world cup in South Africa. * Flex: This informative, humorous (and excellently written) publication achieved best seller status in South Africa.
While working part-time as a ghostwriter, I founded and directed 8 'till Late, a nightlife publication distributed to 40,000 homes across the greater Durban metropolitan area. Despite the business ultimately not meeting financial expectations, it proved to be an invaluable learning experience. Through managing the publication, I gained significant expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and supply chain processes—skills that have been crucial in my subsequent professional ventures.

As a Senior Account Manager at Berry Astrapak, I was entrusted with managing the flagship account for Packaging Consultants Co. In this role, I led a team of reprographic DTP specialists and oversaw all aspects of account management, from sales to end-to-end operations. My responsibilities included building and nurturing client relationships, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of services, and driving the overall strategic direction of the account.
I was also involved in managing budgets, preparing and presenting proposals, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all client expectations were met and exceeded.
