
I have an experience in a shipping companies in the Import Documentation Position for 5 years & Import Sale Support Position for 2 years. Now I am seeking a new experience in a Freight Forwarder Company, in order to improve my abilities and to make a better work-life balance.
I take care of EDI submission for 3-4 vessels per a week, I manage both general goods and hazardous goods from several regions around the world, such as Asia, Europe and America. My responsibilities in this position as follows.
• Sending an arrival notification, update ETA and local charges to all customers, including responding when customers inquire about their shipment.
• Submitting a cargo manifest, EDI paperless with the correct data into local Customs System within a limited time.
• Providing the Delivery Order documents for releasing to a customer so that they can do an import customs clearance for picking up a cargo out from a port or terminal.
• Coordinating with origin ports, other organizations via phone call
and/or email when a customer need our help, or in case we find some information on Bill of Lading is missing or wrong for amend a shipment details and solve any problems as soon as possible.
• Following up a customer to settle an outstanding debt if there is any.
I were promoted and got an opportunity to work in the Import Sales Support & Customer Service Position. My responsibilities in this position as follows.
• Promoting and convincing the customers to support YML.
• Quoting an ocean freight rate of FOB term to customers.
• Filing an ocean freight rate in system for secure booking based on ETD, equipment, space available.
• Requesting to discount or waive some costs with YM-HQ office, including request additional free time demurrage, detention, storage for helping some customers properly.
• Coordinating with Terminals for request special free time storage & relocation to serve VIP customers.
• Updating the special conditions about the local charges at both ends (POL/POD) of each VIP accounts on the list when the import document team or customer request.
• Applying COD in system by consignee's request.
• Giving an information when YM origin ports inquiry about the cargo acceptance in Thailand.
• Pushing the customers to pick up the cargo for long idle cases.
• Follow up the outstanding debts with all customers and consider to hold the incoming shipments if necessary.
• Do weekly, monthly reports about the import lifting/split DO benefits and other reports by our owner’s representative request.
• Monitoring emails without overlooking and must reply by 24 hours at least.
• Helping customer to solving a problem.
