I am a results-driven content creator with diverse experience in communications, event coordination, and community engagement. I am passionate about sustainability and volunteer for a charity promoting climate optimism. I jointly manage the organisation's social media and assist new volunteers in settling into their roles. My social media campaign helped lead to hundreds of postcards being sent to key changemakers and politicians worldwide, advocating for a greener future. My interest in sustainability began at university where I was a finalist in the University of Sussex's Pitch for Planet competition, honing skills in public speaking, pitching, and business development with a focus on sustainability and net-zero goals. I possess a solid foundation in digital tools such as the Adobe creative suite and online platforms like Canva, which I have used to support social media campaigns. Furthermore, I have an eye for impactful stories having created documentaries on various topics and engaging with experts along the way. Through this I have developed research skills through various interviews with experts such as a Sunday Times bestselling author and renowned writers and academics on subjects such as consciousness, anxiety, and overthinking. I am committed to helping others and fostering positive change and open to learning new skills.
I came 4th in a competition at the University of Sussex called Pitch For Planet in which students come up with a business or social enterprise that can help achieve the goal of net zero carbon. I pitched in front of a panel of judges and faced questions in front of a live audience, for the chance to win £30,000 of funding to develop the idea. The process helped me gain experience public speaking, as well as how to pitch an idea and face questions under pressure.
