Oliver Jones

Born in Essex in the UK, 24th July 1971, Oliver left British shores with his family in 1974 to live in Brisbane, Australia.

His parents realised he was very musical at a young age and encouraged him to follow his heart.

He picked up guitar at 11 and by 16 was playing in his first rock band.

His vocal ability was also growing stronger year by year and by 21, Oliver was fronting his own band. Writing songs and recording them in his own production company by 23, Oliver was then signed worldwide by EMI music publishing and has had his works released by Sony, EMI and Roadshow artists.

His constant hard work has taken him to the USA on numerous occasions to work with international producers and songwriters.

He has worked, written or shared the stage with:

U2, Savage Garden, John Farnham, The Ginblossoms, Chrissie Amphlett, Daryl Braithwaite, Newton Faulkner, Colin Hay, Jack Jones, Boom Crash Opera, Mark Seymour, Rose Tattoo, David Foster, David Tyson, Tom Lord Alge, Taxiride, New Radicals, Clif Magnus, Mark Goldenberg, Mike Tramp (White Lion), Steven Haigler.

He helped produce and engineer Savage Garden demos and mixed Santa Monica on the self titled debut album selling over 11 million units. Oliver also mixed numerous B-sides.

OLIVER moved to Melbourne in 2001 and had some amazing opportunities.

Playing at the World Cup in Munich Germany 2006, Bledisloe Cup in Hong Kong and Auckland as well as performances in the UK and USA,

Australia: Barossa Valley in SA, Hamilton Island, Gold Coast, Great Keppel Island, Corporate events in Sydney, Grand Prix Melbourne, Melbourne Cup day, Grand Final day, Australian Open Tennis. Australian corporate jobs such as: Bunnings, Dunlop, Anz, Danks, Mitre 10, Crown Casino, and up to 100 weddings and events per year!

Past events have been: Hamish and Andy’s Thankyou Tour at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, MELBOURNE performing with Daryl Braithwaite and sharing the stage with U2, John Farnham and Newton Faulkner.

Recordings: Co-wrote and produced Daryl Braithwaite’s album FOREVER THE TOURIST that debut at number 8 in the Australian ARIA charts. He landed his song BEAUTIFUL FEELING on Daryl's greatest hits album 'DAYS GO BY' that peaked at number 3 on the Australian charts.

CANADA - Co-wrote "A Fine Line" by Heather Rankin: released in Canada on April 1st 2016 through Maple / Universal Music. Also Played guitars on 2 tracks.

Received a nomination for Canada's 'JUNO' Awards for his co writing on the album 'A Fine Line' by HEATHER RANKIN.
His song RESET was featured in the international film 'LEMON TREE PASSAGE' and is also available on all leading music platforms under the artist name JENSO
