With over 13 years of teachIng and research experience In social policy and social work in India, and at present working in Social Policy and Development (International programme), Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University, Bangkok Thailand. I have wide-ranging teaching and research experience in Public Policy and Development, sustainable community development, action research, participatory development, green social work practices, women empowerment, youth, and marginalized groups, gender equality, and documentary-making on social policy issues, Social Audit on Health Policy at primary health centers in tribal regions of India. I have been teaching Social Policy and Social Legislation, Urban, Rural, and Tribal community development for 12 years for a Master of social work and have guided more than 50 post-graduate students to conduct action research in various social work fields and community settings which especially focused on addiction and health issues in youths, social welfare services for health, and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) on health. My area of interest includes public policy analysis, the multidimensional poverty Index, the Gini coefficient, the inequality index and its relation to public welfare policies, gender equality and social policy, community development, working on policy briefs, and action research for evidence base policies are my passion. I hold a Ph.D. in social work from Shivaji University Kolhapur and a master’s in social work from Solapur University, Solapur, and B.Sc. in Zoology. I advocate for gender equality and social policy, environment, women empowerment, effective and efficient public policy, action research, good governance, and sustainable development goals. Dynamic Lecturer with 14 years of successful Social Policy, Social Work and Development experience. Known for interesting lectures with helpful supporting materials and detail-oriented classroom management. Dedicated to individual student success and comprehensive understanding.
