I am an experienced educational leader with over 35 years in international settings, and I have recently learned that my role as Executive Head will be made redundant in August 2025. I am now seeking new leadership opportunities, particularly in Bangkok, Thailand, and the UK, as well as online positions, with availability from that date. I am passionate about fostering academic excellence and a positive school culture, prioritizing the well-being of students, staff, and families. My expertise in innovative educational strategies, health and safety protocols, and community engagement positions me to contribute effectively to any educational institution that values a supportive and nurturing environment. I look forward to embracing a new challenge where I can empower staff and promote holistic development for all students while sharing my vision of educational excellence, particularly in health, safety, security, and care.

While being a Retained Firefighter, I was also a full time Machine Operator/Setter for two years at Rose Bearings factory. I was responsible for keeping 15 industrial bearing machines running continuously for 12 hours a day. Initially, my role involved maintaining machine operations, and I later advanced to setting up the machines, adjusting various levels of ball and grinding machinery, and operating computer systems. I effectively managed the Ottawa shift system, which included days, nights, and split shifts in a six-week cycle, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality.
As a full-time retained firefighter (while working at Rose Bearings) I was responsible for responding to emergency calls, extinguishing fires, and conducting rescue operations to ensure public safety. My duties included assessing hazardous situations, administering first aid, and performing fire prevention inspections. I actively participated in training drills and community outreach programs, promoting fire safety awareness and preparedness. Collaborating effectively with team members and other emergency services, I contributed to maintaining a safe environment for the community.
As a Postman for the Royal Mail, I began my shifts at 5 AM, delivering mail to nearly 1,000 homes, including my own. I often handled two rounds each day, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service. My role required strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently, all while fostering positive relationships within the community.

From the moment I hopped on my first motorbike at age 12, I’ve been revving my engines and embracing the thrill of the ride! Over the years, I’ve tackled every type of motorcycle out there, honing my skills and becoming a seasoned rider. But my adventurous spirit didn’t stop there – I also dove headfirst into the world of judo at the same age. This journey led me to achieve not one, but three black belts from different governing bodies, and I proudly held the title of national judo champion and Royal Marine judo champion for a decade! Yet, my greatest motivation comes from my two incredible children, Evie and Simon, who are growing up faster than I can keep up with! I strive to inspire them with my passions and adventures. In my downtime, I enjoy the strategic challenge of chess, immersing myself in audiobooks, and delving into the fascinating world of AI. These interests keep my mind sharp and continuously fuel my desire to learn and grow.
