Tutoring Paper 1 (Reading & Writing)

• Primarily Utilized Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (9-1) English as a Second Language Student Book for their first term and another GCSE ESL student book written by Baljit Nijjar and Janet Searle
• Provided supplementary resources such as "English Collocations in Use" by Michael McCarthy and Felicity O'Dell, and "Advanced Grammar in Use" by Martin Hewings to reinforce grammar and lexical knowledge
• Designed and delivered lessons for comprehensive reading and writing techniques for each element of question type
• Conducted monthly mock tests utilizing ESL past papers to familiarize students with test formats, improve time management skills, and examination readiness

Remark: I was initially hired to tutor Gabriel during his Primary 3 and 4 years for his core subjects while he attended MCTA: RVi Academy in Mandalay. Later, I was specifically employed to teach English when he transitioned to MISA in year 6.

Responsibilities: In Primary 3 and 4

• Instructed Math Problem-Solving techniques using Skill Set 2 book
• Recorded videos of poetry recitation, singing, and drawing; shared them with respective subject teachers through the Microsoft Team Account
• Conducted biweekly discussions with parents regarding student's performances and attitudes
• Administered monthly tests on Math, Science, and English subjects, including preterm break assessments to evaluate subject awareness

Responsibilities: In Year-6

• Check his daily homework and updated announcements in ClassDojo
• Take a facilitator's role by checking his creative writing (Cambridge Primary English Workbook - Fiona Baxter and Liz Dilley)
• Evaluate his awareness of English with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Papers
• Record his videos of doing projects and upload them in ClassDojo
• Report his progress and performance to his parents once a month
