Working as an English teacher in a more rural school allowed me to prepare comprehensive English classes for multiple levels. Whilst I prepared and implemented lesson plans covering required course topics I also designed my teaching based on the ability I gauged within the classes.

Within my classes I utilized multimedia strategies and technology to convey information in fresh and interesting ways for students, to enhance engagement and retention.

As I was only here for a short period of time, I assessed student progress and provided feedback to improve performance and establish academic success for the future.

Guided international students through the first stages of arriving in the UK and getting set up within the university. I helped with enrolment, visa queries and ID cards, essentially getting students organised and settled before they begin studying. I was a first point of contact for students here.

In 2023, I spent time volunteering in a collection of schools, colleges and universities in Vietnam. Here I was part of a teaching English abroad program, allowing me to learn vast people and communication skills, proving that I can adapt in unfamiliar and challenging situations.

As I was teaching a variety of age groups and English levels, differentiation was key in my lesson planning and delivery. Therefore, I tailored my lessons depending on individual students as classes were small so one to one attention could be provided.
